1. What Data We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your profile picture.
• Assignment content: the text you paste into Uni+ AI and the AI-generated responses.
• Usage data: basic analytics such as page views, feature usage, and error logs. We do not track you across other websites.
• Session cookies: we use secure cookies to keep you logged in. See section 7 for details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide the service: process your assignments, generate explanations and diagrams, and store your history.
• Improve quality: understand how the tool is used so we can fix bugs and make the product better.
• Security: detect and prevent abuse, unauthorized access, and fraud.

3. AI Processing Disclosure

When you submit an assignment, the text you provide is sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) to generate responses. We send only the assignment text and necessary context — we do not send your name, email, or other personal information to AI providers. AI providers may process and temporarily store this data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

Your account data and assignment history are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete an assignment, it is soft-deleted and permanently removed within 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Your Choices

• Delete assignments: you can delete individual assignments from your dashboard at any time.
• Delete your account: you can request account deletion through the settings page or by contacting us.
• Export data: you may contact us to request a copy of your data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (a) AI providers as described in section 3, (b) infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to operate the service, and (c) when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies to authenticate your login. We also use a theme preference cookie stored in your browser's local storage. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or via email.
